🧛♂️ What is Gehenna 2035?
Gehenna—originally a cursed valley outside Jerusalem, later a symbol of divine judgment—means many things. But in this future, it’s what comes after the Flood. Not water, but data. Not wrath, but awakening. It is the end of secrets, the erosion of myth, and the return of things that were never supposed to wake.
In Gehenna 2035, the Antediluvians—the progenitors of the original vampire clans—return as godlike anomalies, either riding the waves of human technological singularity like parasites hitching a ride on divinity OR to fulfill the original prophecy and devour the Kindred and the rest of the world. As humanity spirals into mind-uploading, neural markets, and reality fragmentation, these ancient beings manifest through corrupted code, supernatural anomalies, and religious feedback loops.
The Masquerade? It’s bleeding out. Corporations now exploit it, parody it, and in some cases, sell access to it. In a world addicted to simulation, illusion has become a service. Some megacorps even launch full-scale Faith-as-a-Service platforms, offering curated salvation subscriptions while secretly bargaining with the End.
As with all proper cyberpunk, the satire is razor-edged. The medieval legal precedents can't keep up with Humanity's godlike technology. Corporate eschatology is no longer just a byproduct—it’s a business model. Only what's legal is Divine.
But this is more than apocalypse for aesthetic’s sake. Gehenna 2035 dives into the strange, unconventional alliances and bizarrely human betrayals that emerge when Kindred politics collapse into posthuman reality. What happens when Anarchs become data guerillas? When Camarilla elders sell their clans to algorithms? When the Sabbat—zealots of the Beast, sworn enemies of the Masquerade—find themselves trapped between extinction by assimilation and survival through submission? In Gehenna 2035, even they must choose: be consumed by the algorithmic sprawl of corporate sterilization, or seek a cruel kind of liberation in the jaws of their progenitors. They turn toward the Antediluvians not out of loyalty, but because only in slavery to god-monsters do they remain free from the leash of commerce and code.
Don’t expect encyclopedic lore. This world is run on the 80/20 principle—20% of the lore drives 80% of the drama. What matters is the meat of the myth, not the bones. This is a lean, sharp cut through the VtM canon—distilled, warped, and turned toward a bleak and burning horizon.
🧩 Purpose of This Wiki
This wiki exists to organize my series on YouTube and provide the written script for each episode. As this new "lore" expands, I'll provide further documentation to the setting, characters, factions, philosophies, lore mutations, and narrative threads of Gehenna 2035.
⚠️ Disclaimer
Gehenna 2035 is an unofficial fan-created project inspired by the Vampire: The Masquerade universe -the core subset of the broader World of Darkness mythos. I am not affiliated with Paradox Interactive, White Wolf, Renegade Game Studios, or any official entity. This is a work of speculative fiction from my own imagination, crafted to reinterpret and reframe the core themes of VtM through a cyberpunk, post-singularity, and techno-apocalyptic lens.
